Cooling tower belts require regular inspection and replacement at fixed intervals. During routine maintenance of cooling tower fans, belt inspection and adjustment of belt position should be a standard procedure. Oil contamination on the belts will affect their lifespan, and any oil found during inspection should be cleaned immediately. Regarding the issue of impeller installation angle, if the angle cannot be adjusted, the problem can be solved by replacing the blades.
1: Insufficient Cooling Tower Flow Rate
There are many reasons for insufficient cooling tower flow rate. The most common ones include belt slippage, mismatched power speed, and improper installation angle of the axial flow pump blades.
Solution: The cooling tower belts need to be inspected and replaced at regular intervals. During daily maintenance of the cooling tower fan, belt inspection and belt position adjustment should be a routine inspection item. If there is oil stain on the belt, it will also affect the use of the belt. If there is oil stain on the belt during inspection, it needs to be cleaned immediately. For the problem of impeller installation angle, if the installation angle cannot be adjusted, the problem can be solved by replacing the blades.
2: Water Pump Overheating
If the clearance between the rolling bearing or the support bracket is too small, the belt is too tight, or the quality of the lubricating oil is poor, the cooling tower water pump will overheat, and there are many ways to solve this problem.
Solution: Shims can be added between the cooling tower support bracket and the bearing, and the concentricity between the axial pump and the two shafts can be adjusted. To ensure the normal operation of the cooling tower, the relevant oil should meet certain requirements and be selected according to a certain Model.
3: Motor Overheating
The main reason for motor overheating is excessive motor load or mismatch between motor power and equipment operation.
Solution: Before and during the installation and use of the cooling tower, the circuit pressure and current resistance should be frequently checked. When the current resistance through the cooling tower equipment suddenly increases, the current will decrease, causing the motor to overheat. During use, the circuit needs to be checked, and if the current is unstable, the circuit needs to be adjusted.
The situation of power mismatch is more difficult to solve in later use; this is the so-called 'small horse pulling a big cart' situation. The occurrence of this situation is actually related to the consumer's choice. When choosing, these power parameters should be balanced to avoid mismatches in speed and power. The relevant manufacturers should actually act as gatekeepers for consumers during the design process, rather than arbitrarily matching motors and equipment, resulting in a power mismatch.
